About Lisa

AD Orchestra 2016 3.jpg

For as long as I can remember, I loved to not only play violin (or my lovely viola!)--but also to show other that they too can learn to play and love playing their instruments. I have been teaching lessons for 32 years, and am eternally honored to work with each and everyone one of my students. It is a privilege to see them grow and find great success making music.

I graduated UW-Milwaukee in 1993 with a BFA in Music Performance. Between playing in various community symphonies, I started my private studio. Upon moving to Jackson, WI  in the summer of 2004, I was fortunate to re-establish my studio and have maintained a very active and full schedule since!

In 2010, I auditioned and accepted a position in the first violin section of the Kettle Moraine Symphony and continue making music with them presently. I am also an active member of the KMS Board of Directors.

In 2013, I was offered the position of String Support Instructor at Hartford Union High School and provided the orchestra class with individual lessons until 2016. August of 2016 I was hired to teach small group and individual lessons as Orchestra Support Teacher for the West Bend School District. Following the virtual learning period in spring of 2020 (due to Covid-19), my position came to an end.

With the opportunity in the public school ended, I am able to focus more on my private lesson students. In-person lessons have since resumed and I am eager to grow the studio!
